Love this pattern! A quilted vest is such an essential item, this is a pattern I will use over and over again. Great instructions, with neat and tidy finishes

I really enjoyed making this vest. It was a nice easy introduction to quilting which despite my years of sewing was something I hadn’t done before. The instructions are comprehensive, fit was good and it will be very versatile. I will be doing more

This pattern is a joy to make! It was my first time quilting and the sew guide is so detailed and helpful for a first-timer! The finished piece is so cute and my little loves the pocket option!!
Martina Blanco –
Oh, I sooo love this pattern! It was my first time quilting and the instructions were so clear and easy to follow. The result is a beautiful vest that my daughter adores wearing ❤️
Vicki Reid –
absolutely love this pattern, I really enjoy making quilted garments for myself so I am SO glad i can finally make things for my 2 children too, super cute design and great scrap buster!
Sophie McLagan –
This was my first time ever quilting. To be honest I was wasn’t confident I was up to the quilted Honu vest. But the step by step instructions were super clear and I’m so proud of how it turned out. I made my own bias which was another first and easy enough with the provided instructions. The quilting is a great alternative to a woollen blanket vest which she refuses to wear due to the feel.

This was my first time quilting for a garment. Instructions are great and I love the added quilting option suggestions.
My favourite part was choosing a lining that would be great as a reversible option. So now we have 2 vests in 1. Can’t wait to make more…..now to find the time

Sharaine Talip –
I loved creating the new Honu quilted vest! It is the perfect project for an adventurous beginner who wants to try quilting a small project for the first time. My favourite part of the Honu quilted vest is how many different options there are for adapting the pattern for a folksy look or a more structured utilitarian outfit. Thank you again Sophie!

Just made my first ever quilted garment! I used mattress protector for the batting, and just used my regular sewing machine foot. The quilting guide held my hand all the way through and made the whole process not intimidating or overwhelming. I love the tidy finishes to the inside – the whole vest looks beautiful all over. Sure, there are imperfections because I’ll need more practice, but I’m happy with it!
